FeyMoon

In humanoid form, FeyMoon did visit, though she soon tired of the sidelong glances and hurried avoidance of the other villagers who still feared as much as respected her. Her visits grew farther and farther apart. Arogikur took to stopping into her glade on a regular basis to save the uncomfortable reactions of the truefolk. He even brought Sarisin to FeyMoon's lair on occasion and left her in the shady glen while he spent the day hunting in the forest. Nearly every day he would travel to the glade to see the dragon, he realized that on the days he visited FeyMoon his hunting was more successful and his luck was incredibly better. Eventually it became everyday, not just for the added luck, but because he enjoyed even the brief visits they had and looked forward to updating his wife to the goings on of the wood in the evening.
The truefolk lifespan stretched two and a half centuries, but the people of the settlement seemed to age at nearly half that rate. Although one of the elders of the the town, which had grown into a large center of trade, Arogikur was still in the prime of his life. Arogikur's success had made him a rich man but he had invested his wealth in the education of his three children and several friends. He had also expanded his home and properties, but had changed little. He remained dedicated to his wife and family and his community and visited his friend the dragoness regularly.
FeyMoon had spent the years watching over the woods and the new inhabitants as she had the original denizens. She did not ignore the fey or their needs, but the new arrivals captured her curiosity. The "elves", as the truefolk of the Elderwood named themselves, were different from the ancient people of the rest of the world. FeyMoon studied them and their evolution into creatures of the forest with keen interest, but focused more attention on Arogikur and Sarasin than any of the others.
The dragon had watched over Arogikur throughout his woodland adventures and while keeping an eye out on his children, wife and interests she had learned a great deal about the financial markets of the town and advised his investments. She had even gone so far as to add some of her own treasure to his investment capital on several deals she had researched, which always went very favorably and expanded their fortunes.
&nbspHis children were very interesting to her. The oldest, Sarik, was much like his father skilled in the forest and at hunting. The middle child was a lovely lady named Arakin who looked much like her mother and tended the animals of the holdings, she was also assigned a Training Magus to teach her as a Tract Magus. One of his children in particular interested her a great deal. Sarasin's favorite and youngest, her son Saranti, like many truefolk children several generations before, he was born able to do minor spells. Only rarely did that trait show itself in more recent times, but it was the mark of a powerful wizard. So Arogikur petitioned the Tower Magi for a Training Magus to be assigned to Saranti almost at birth. Due to the number of people in the town and the level of power shown by the young boy, the Tower Magi sent a missive to the Winged Tower for an Advanced level Training Magi since he didn't have one availible when the boy was born.
FeyMoon and the Patron of the Winged Tower were broodmates and still very close. So, when TreeHeart's Tower Magi sent the missive WingedLord allowed FeyMoon to answer the call as a young Training Magus named Parifsi, from the the Winged Tower. FeyMoon had spent many weeks speaking with her brother who had adopted a settlement of his own and had researched the people of the tower on his penninsula. She was able to play the persona perfectly and knew the people and customs with studied ease. She remained with the family and cared for the growing boy for all the long century of his youth raising him as a powerful wizard able to perform the most amazing feats of magic seen among the truefolk in generations.

He awed the Tower Magi and Training Magus of TreeHeart, but seemed to scare the rest of the truefolk of the still growing town.
Not long after arriving FeyMoon had been discovered by her longtime friend, but Arogikur never revealed her secret. Often they would talk long into the night while the rest of the house was resting. She still advised his finances and his dealings among the elders. She sometimes accompanied him to the meetings in the tower and told him spoke truth and who sought to mislead him. Through her help he became the most respected leader among the elders of the tower. TreeHeart had become the capital of a huge nation. Due to her guidance, when a cry arose for a single voice to lead the growing empire, Arogikur was the almost unanimous choice. He was trusted as the most honest and worthy of the leadership and was voted in as the King of Tell'Nath before reaching his two hundred and fiftieth birthday.
FeyMoon's presence in the town was rumored as was her identity, but no one save her student, who seemed to instinctively know, and his father ever knew she was there, and neither ever said anything to anyone. FeyMoon enjoyed her time as a truefolk and went on walks through the town with her charge almost daily. They ussually went in somekind of illusion due to the instant stir the powerful Prince and his Training Magus caused wherever they went. She also took Saranti into the woods to practice changing forms. Sometimes they would dance as fey or fly as faerie. They would run as beasts or mystical creatures. They played in the forest unafraid accepted by the natural denizens as they weren't by the truefolk.
Once Saranti became an adult he moved away from TreeHeart and his family holdings and into the glade of FeyMoon. There they would continue their studies into the mysteries of magic and scry into the secrets of the Elderwood settlements. FeyMoon loved her young charge as he loved her. He had grown powerful enough in his magic to assume the form of a dragon as his forefathers had centuries before. The first steel dragon had been born a truefolk, Saranti was able shift forms at will by the time he reached maturity and retain the form of a steel dragon indefinitely.
FeyMoon knew the two of them couldn't stay together for the long lifespan of a dragon but had grown to love the intelligent and powerful youth so much to be without him for more than a few hours caused her physical pain. The longing to be with him was so great it was undenyable. She told him he needed to give himself a dragon name, now that being a dragon was more comfortable than being an elf. He told her no true dragon gave themself their own name, she must grant him his name. So, she named him TowerFriend.
Though his son's decision to live with dragoness didn't surprise him, Arogikur didn't like it much either. He had a close relationship with each of his children and knew of the spectacular changes going on with Saranti as well as the couples love for one another. He feared it would grow too far and the differences in races and lives would hinder their plans. He dared not mention anything of the like, his thoughts mirrored FeyMoon's own.
The two dragons lived in the glade together visited often by the Queen and Princess. Living happily in the forest with the faerie and fey, they bore a brood of magically adept dragons able to blend into the truefolk at will. Prince Sarik and even the King, when able to slip away, visited the glade. For nearly two centuries peace and prosperity ruled in Tell'Nath.
Not every elder in the elven nation had rejoiced at the announcement of Arogikur's ascension. Several of his business competitors and others in line for the throne had cursed his name at the coronation and had plotted his removal from power. The King was not so foolish as to believe he had no enemies. He had set a guard on his gate and quarters early in his riegn and had skilled mages enspell and entrap his rooms in the Tower.
