Gods come in three forms; good, evil, and neutral. So do wizards.
Here the descriptions are categorized as such. Choose which patron fits you best, to truly succeed you will need the guidance of the Knowing.

Master Abjurer, The High Protector, Lord of the Demon-Bane
Neutral Good
Altar-Shield Tower

The Master Abjurer is one of the patrons of the Towers of Magic, he is the Lord of all abjurers, but his clergy includes the travelling priests known as Spell-Shields and the temple priests called Air Walkers. The Spell-Shields are roaming priest/mages, or priests, that defend against the ravages of uncontrolled magic. They find regions of wild magic and eliminate them or seek creatures who are not in their proper plane and dismiss them to their homes. The temple priests are also often multiclass priest/mages, but do not seek the ravagers of magic, they only undo the magic cast on people or objects. Those who seek their help are often granted aid without any recompense other than a complete and honest telling of the event, which is relayed to Spell-Shields, who then seek out the person who cast the harmful magic. Sheld (pronounced shelled) and his clergy demand that all magic be under some level of control, even evil magic is allowed as long as it is under some kind of supervision. In the Altar-Shield Tower, the Proctor-Protector leads the most powerful of the Air Walkers to work on advanced dispels and incredible dismissals. He keeps artifacts of chaotic or wild creation to study and attempt their destruction. The Proctor-Protector himself is constantly studying captured demons to learn to dismiss them in a permanent manner or destroy them forever.
